Scripture speaks about sex as God’s good gift to be enjoyed within marriage. In Matthew 5:27-30 Jesus warns against lust with our eyes, our heads, and our hearts. As He warns against a consumer approach to sex which brings our harm we are reminded that behind God’s no to sex outside of marriage is a better yes within it. Our response to this important issue is to follow Jesus’ command to a radical response, to flee from sin and to find the forgiveness and grace to help us walk in purity and freedom.
