What is the Christian’s attitude toward government? 1 Peter 2:13-17 teaches us that Christians are called to submit ourselves to human authorities as part of God’s good plan for the ordering of society. In a world that can idolize politics, our trust remains in the God who stands above every earthly authority. As his servants set free in the Lord Jesus, we can willingly submit ourselves and honor those who are placed in authority over us.
