Luke’s gospel records Jesus’ journey toward Jerusalem and his triumphal entry into the city. As he sets his face toward Jerusalem Jesus shows himself to be the suffering savior who knowingly and willingly goes to the cross. Entering the city on a donkey, not a war horse, he shows himself to be the humble king who comes to bring peace. The disciples greet the savior king with with joy-filled praise. How will you receive him?
