It’s tempting to believe that life would be better if we lived in different circumstances. This is particularly true as we face trials and suffering. In these verses, the apostle Peter reflects on the privilege Christians have in knowing the full story of salvation through Jesus Christ. In Peter’s day and ours, Christians are privileged to witness and receive the salvation that has been preached and fulfilled through Christ, a privilege even angels long to understand.
